Fourth Who, New Sarah Due

SCI FI Channel has acquired the fourth season of Doctor Who and its hit spinoff series The Sarah Jane Adventures from BBC Worldwide America. Both series are slated to premiere on SCI FI in April.

The Sarah Jane Adventures
is written and produced by the same creative team behind Doctor Who, including multiple-award-winning writer Russell T. Davies. The series centers on Sarah Jane Smith (Elisabeth Sladen), former companion to the Doctor, who investigates offbeat mysteries with her young friends Maria, Luke and Clyde.

The fourth season of Doctor Who, meanwhile, brings back star David Tennant as the 10th Time Lord, joined by a new companion, Donna Noble (Catherine Tate), who reprises her role from the previous Christmas special. The Doctor's previous companion, Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman), also makes a triumphant return in the middle of season four.

Is the week over yet?? [/whine]

Ugghh, this week has been...not good. Well, health-wise. My body feels so horrible and I just want to go under the covers and hibernate...like a bear.

But, oh my god and this is the most exciting/good thing about this week.....I may be getting a Japanese penpal!!! Well, it's more of an e-mail pal, but so not the point.

My history teacher asked if one of us would be willing to correspond with a sixteen-year old Japanese girl who wants to improve her English. It did take me about two days to decide, but I finally just stopped thinking about it and gave my teacher my email address. Sooooo.....hmmm dunno, might be getting the chance to write to her. I think she needs to e-mail me first.

But, yay!!

*falls over in excitement*

And now it's off to napland for me...

So, Mom and Dad brought brother's car today.

It's a deep red '99 Ford Escort. It was $2,500 and has 64.000 milage (like I know what that means). It's so cute! (Ok...maybe not the right adjective to describe his car. XD) It's used though, so it's not exactly too nice looking. Mom and I spent about two hours today cleaning and washing it and it's still a bit shitty to be honest. But it runs okay and that's the important thing.

It does have a sticker of the Deering High Rams on the back window though (the adversary for PHS bulldogs, where we go to school; ha, just thought that was funny when I got excited about getting driven to school in it and wondered if people would notice, but they probably wouldn't even glance at it. The only Serbian girl I know who went to Deering was its previous owner. My nationality tends to pick Portland High...since it's more diverse.)

Honestly, though it's so different from our car, it's going to take awhile to get used to it because it's a drive-stick as well (is that what it's called when you have to shift the gears while driving, I dunno?), as opposed to our Dodge Stratus, which isn't. The seats are also really low and the layout of the radio system is different, it's like gahhhh! What do you do?

>>Quite honestly, I really am not a car enthusiast, but this is all so exciting! I could stare at this car all day/night and talk about it...but well I can't. Blah.

I hope my brother gives me a ride around the block tomorrow...I did give him $50 for it since he was short of it!

EDIT: HOMG, I found this image of the car model and it looks exactly like the one we bought!

Torchwood is coming to Sci-fi in September. Yay!

(although I did know this for awhile, but am only now getting excited about it. I mean it's Jack! And I suppose most of you who aren't into the new Doctor Who don't know what that means, but oh well.)

I should do something productive now like clean my room or something...but I just don't have it in me. Meehhh. Maybe tomorrow.

I'm also severely disappointed with season 3 of Doctor Who. Maybe it's just because Rose is no longer on the show. I liked Rose.

So that [profile] twilightathon story  is coming  together nicely.  So far I have over 1,000 words written and I'm now just trying to wrap it up because I think I have written everything that I have wanted to write. I just don't know how to end it...  I'm pretty excited about this Twilight story though;  unintentionally I have included a missing scene from Twilight ( well the prompt actually called for it) and answered some of my own questions  that I have had while reading and rereading Twilight to my own interpretation. I just hope that it makes sense...and that I don't actually screw up canon. Because I like the canon.

I'm really worried about my characterization. Good characterization is everything to me. That's what really makes a fic either good or bad from my point of view. It might have a few grammatical/spelling mistakes, but I can easily overlook those because I can forget about what sort of mechanical error the author had, but if the character isn't similar to its fandom counterpart, it'll turn me off the story. I'm in the fandom because I like those characters how the original author had intended them to be, and if you mess with those characters' traits without any reasonable explanations or visible growth throughout the fic, If the author doesn't pay much attention to her/his characters, and just makes them say whatever without questioning if they're IC or OOC, that won't make the story perfect to me. No matter if it's perfectly polished in everything else...I'll only remember the characters and their actions from the story. That's what will stick out in my mind.

I'm really worried about my characterization here because it involves me writing the Cullen family together and some of them are deep, complex persons and I don't want to mess with the personalities that Ms. Meyer gave them...because that's why I fell in love with them in the first place.

I want to write them the way Ms. Meyer would write them. I guess that's asking for too much?

So, there I was browsing through Tokyopop looking for some Graviation manga (not that I could buy any, but a girl can dream), and I came upon this page, which made me die.

Twilight fans should definitely check it out.

*You can see the manga on their Manga Player, but you need to register to see all the pages, it's free though. :D
