[March 1] [XXXHOLiC] Revelations
Mar. 1st, 2007 08:08 pmI really want to write all the themes for this month, but they're all hard for me. They're song lyrics, and for some reason, I have a hard time with writing prompts that are more than four words long. But I'll try my hardest.

He stood in front of the person he loved the most, and it didn't feel right. Something tugged at his heart. This wasn't the (secret) love of his standing in front of him. This person or thing that had possession of his love's soul was fiendish. More ghastly and with evil gleaming eyes.
Watanuki looked around him. Everything was normal. It was just like any other day, except for Doumeki's absence that day at school.
Himawari kept coming closer to him until she finally cornered him into the wall of the gate to Yuuko's. Once she was close enough to him, the spirit that was inside of her hurled toward him in blue-white flames not really having a form or shape, just swirly lines coming toward him. He opened his mouth to scream, but he couldn't make the words come.
Suddenly out of his peripheral vision, he saw a person clad in a black kimono. He breathed a sigh of relief once he saw that it was Doumeki, and that the archer was getting ready to strike the offending spirit with his bow and arrow.
Doumeki was stoic as ever and released his arrow. It soared through the air and went right through the blue-white flame spirit and struck Watanuki in the chest. Watanuki gasped with shock and blood gushed out.
Then everything went black and he felt as if he were falling. Suddenly, his body was sucked through ripples and he opened his eyes to find himself lying on his futon in his apartment. Yuuko was standing over him, looking at him lazily with a glass of wine in her slim hands.
"Did you have an interesting dream, Watanuki-kun?" She drawled out, as if she all ready expected the answer to be a yes.
"NO!" He screamed, still a bit shaken up at the dream and how real it felt. He couldn't believe Doumeki hurt him. True, it was still only a dream, but he had a lot of faith in his dreams. Then what could this dream possibly mean then? He didn't really want to dwell on it anymore.
Getting up to fix himself something to eat, Watanuki's hopes dwindled a bit. The dream was obviously telling him that he could never have the one he really wanted...
