Aug. 2nd, 2013 11:54 pmDay Twelve: Top Five Trends/Styles You Abhor
1. Oh god, like I know anything about fashion. Seriously I know nothing about fashion. Um, I guess, people wearing their ugg boots so much, you don't see them in anything else? I don't own a pair myself, but I've heard they are super comfortable. That's no excuse to wear them in 100 degree weather though, people. Seriously.
2. Cellphone trends are seriously annoying as well. Does a new brand of phone have to come out like every freakin' week?
3. This is a very much YMMV thing, but lots of strips and leopard prints are an eyesore for me. Like, black pants and a stripped shirt combo is okay, but not: leopard pants AND stripped shirt or flannel or what have you.
4. Mixing of casual and formal to a degree. I'm not talking about jeans and a sports jacket; that's not bad, I'm talking about extreme cases like mixing Converse sneakers with dresses, or wearing ratty old t-shirts with pantsuits.
5. Earrings and rings on the body where they shouldn't go. I'm all for expressing yourself and not conforming to society's standards of what "beauty" is (um, beside the above list; the above list is much more about common sense and not so much about standards of beauty though), but all my life I've heard that only your ears should be pierced and rings go on your fingers and/or a toe if you're a girl. Anything else is too ludicrous for me to contemplate.
