I really liked the breaking-into-the-mortuary-in-the-middle-of-the-night scene, even though it was illegal. Words are also not enough to describe how very much I love the quiet, emotional moments between Sherlock and Joan on this show (and between any characters really).
Though, it was creepy they tied up Gottlieb at the Brownstone, their place of residence; I mean, come on! Do they want /all/ the serial killers descending upon the place where they lay their heads at night?
Moriarty is interesting, and extremely creepy. And I hope we get to at least see him soon, all this teasing is intriguing sure, but only up to a point. For some reason, I'm hoping he has a past to Sherlock that goes beyond him being Irene's killer (we know Gottlieb got the order to kill Sherlock when Sherlock was in his drug addled days, but not if this was pre-Irene or post-Irene). If it ends up being that Moriarty killed her just because he could, I'll be sorely disappointed.
There was no sign of Detective Bell, I don't remember, so the episode suffered a bit for it. (The episode suffers even when there's no sign of Clyde, quite frankly. I guess I like it when all the supporting cast can be accounted for.)

Date: 2013-05-03 06:25 am (UTC)I just finished watching that episode. I'm really glad that the storyline is tracking back to the Moriarty plot!! I've been so intrigued and I already wanted to see more about this mysterious Moriarty. Of course, I don't have anything against the previous episodes either but I've been dying to see the progression towards unveiling Moriarty. As for the quiet moments between Sherlock and Watson, it definitely makes me smile every time. I thought it was especially cute when Sherlock was going to cut up the guy and Watson was telling him what to do (since she didn't want to do it at first) before she took over. Personally, I'd like to think Sherlock was just baiting her. It seems like something he'd do.
Also, I completely agree with you about bringing all the serial killers to their place for a "chat"! -_- I've been questioning it every time they bring someone in. Then again, Sherlock has all these nifty cameras around his house, so maybe there's something else in his possession that makes him confident enough to bring these people in? Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised.
And I'm sure there's something more to Moriarty and Sherlock other than being Irene's killer. What Watson said in the end of the episode got me, "Seems like maybe you're the game." Sherlock and Moriarty met somehow, I'm sure, and Moriarty was intrigued. I can't wait to see the upcoming episodes.
Sorry again if this was odd. Oh well. Enjoy your day!

That was a very cute moment, I totally agree. I can see Sherlock doing that, I think he was betting on her trying to correct him if he did it himself and he was totally right!

Oh! I'd forgotten about those. Yeah, Sherlock possibly has safeguards against home invaders and such so he's probably not too worried.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I really don't mind; this makes it seem less like I'm talking to myself.
