When we used to live for the nighttime

I have no morning classes this semester which is yay!!! I have packed three in one day (Thursday) though but I can handle three classes once a week. NO. MORNING. CLASSES. I'm just gonna let that sink in for a bit.
So most classes are English (and one Bio lab class that I *should've* taken with the Bio class my freshman year but I was a dunce then, didn't know that most science classes consisted of a lab + lecture component) and this other class (something called Ocean Planet, I have no idea what it's about but it was the only open class that meshed with my schedule) I took just because the parents are making me take five classes to be considered a full time student. Taking five English classes in one semester is not smart so I needed a bit of variety for the two classes that aren't going toward my (new) major. (One of the English classes is Creative Writing so that might just leave two hard classes with a lot of reading/assignments. Another is Intro to Literary Studies and another is Poetry - the genre.)
Of course classes start today and I still haven't picked up my books. I was going to go Friday but then we experienced a mini blizzard and I just opted for staying inside and lazying on the couch. I'll go after my one class today and then I wanted to buy one or two new books just for leisure reading but I have to order them - don't think this particular bookstore will have them in stock there already - so I have no idea when I'll pick those up (assuming they order them for me).

a seasonal meme that I should've posted way before this:
and this popular meme that's going around:
Pick up the nearest book to you.
Turn to page 45.
The first sentence describes your sex life in 2012.
"It was, of course, a ridiculous idea that Mr. Darnay would not notice whether she was there or not - Sue chuckled over it herself at the time - but she found, as the day wore on, that her idea was not very far from the sober truth."
In context, this quote is oddly appropriate for my sex life in 2012.

Lose ten tsubasa crossovers by March.

Date: 2012-01-17 06:57 pm (UTC)Memes and random choice things are enigmas and fun.
for me, I have no sig other..., yet! :)
I met a nice girl, Christine, she is Egyptian, and our neighbor, but there's a lot of 2012 to go, so who knows what lies around the corner.
I've been a homebody a lot, actually and as much as my neighbors have given me food and wine, chocolates for Xmas, and I've baked some cookies and cake for them, it is nice to have such wonderful and cute neighbors. :D
There is likely a whole lot of things waiting for me and for you too this year, a bit of a mystery I suppose, a magical tour, lucky dip maybe. *shrugs*
I am writing and editing for a couple of people, thinking of revamping the circlet, but leaving it open, and if writers want critique they can ask for help, and whoever wishes to opt in can, so long as they want to, I think also some of the new things I've tried out in the circlet, including some commentary, reviews, some audio -visiual stuff.
I want to get people involved who are interested in a whole lot of stuff, writing prose, sharing their writerly adventures, sources of inspiration and more; it is I think striking the right balance and relaxing things with a focussed bunch of people who love what they do and are fun to work with.
The circlet is stirring to new life.
I am busy trying to find out what is the best pitch to get activity going, so I am open to new ideas and I hope you visit too. ^__^
I hope you manaage to get those books you're wanting. I wonder if you'd be interested in a poetry-prose community? Fun to read and the material is diverse and really good. If curious:
Ben AKA bennybunny is the mod there and a cool guy who has stage-theatre experience and is a DJ of reggie (hope I spelt that right :D), music amd gifted poet and writer. The members are all fascinating people and post good stuff, some is challenging but Regina, is one of my faves but they're all great.

You might find these guys interesting if you do the poetry unit in the English faculty, I've posted there too.
Anyway, I missed chatting to you so nice to see things are starting to come together, the weather over there sounds chilly, here is is the opposite, 36 C day yesterday and now the night is cool, the kitties are rushing around keeping the house awake! Lol
Take care and *huge huggles and XXXs and keep warm* <3333

If - and when - you do get the circlet going, I'd be sure to stop by. :D
I've checked out the comm - sounds cool. I love poetry but am not so good at the analyzing bit, you know? *takes the meaning of some poems literally but they aren't meant to be taken literally* I guess being a close reader of poetry takes time and is an art form in itself.
