The Awesomely Awesome:
-Zuko's & Iroh's reunion at Ba Sing Se- it made me weepy.
-Zuko + Katara's fight with Azula- that was some crazy with pretty effects, and I loved the music during it. Actually all the effects and music in this episode ROCKED.
-Pakku + Gran-Gran got married!! Yay!! This is my OTP right here. xD;
-Lol. Iroh opened up a TEASHOP. I love this man. It'd be so like him to have his own little teashop.
-I loved the ending. Not the Katara/Aang kiss...that...that was just eewwww. But afterwards, when they're all gathered in Iroh's teashop, and he's playing the harp. YES. This is the happy ending that I wanted. Too bad Mike + Brian had to go and louse it up with the romance there at the end. Usually, I'd like it but there it just felt weird. I mean I don't get the Katarang ship. It's like all these seasons, they've been shying away from it, and all of a sudden BAM- Katara goes and kisses him.
-Speaking of pairings I don't get- Zuko/Mai- that just came out of nowhere, and I understand it less than Katara/Aang.
-BUMI- I LOVE HIM! "There's someone missing from your group. Someone very important- where's Momo?"
-I loved the White Lotus' introduction. It was underplayed and they didn't make a big deal about it, but it was quite exciting to see nonetheless.
-I very nearly hyperventilated when Zuko got struck by Azula's lightening. I sat in front of my television going "don't die, don't die, don't die..."
-Speaking of which, I love the Zutara moment there.
-And Katara taking on Azula and WINNING? That was pure awesome right there.
-The old masters? Yay, we get to see them taking back Ba Sing Se and kicking some Fire Nation butt.
-Ty Lee joining the Kyoshi warriors!! Yay!!
-I also liked how, despite everything being serious, the powers that be still included some hilarity, like Sokka going inside Appa's mouth, thinking the big bison had eaten him, and then being smothered in Appa's spit and flopping on the ground, while the rest of the gang is listening very intently to Zuko's serious speech.
The Not-So Awesome:
-While the EPIC battle between Ozai & Aang was intense to watch- it felt pretty anti-climatic. I didn't know if Aang was going to kill him (I didn't think he'd go through it, but was confused as to how the producers would resolve the conflict). I dunno. Just Aang taking away his firebending? It's unexpected, and again, feels as though that's a big letdown. Because here for three entire seasons, Aang had been training to fight and defeat the Fire Lord, and after all that trouble, that's what he does?
-Again, the shipping there at the end. I know that the trend is that the protagonist female hooks up with the hero who saves the world and what not, but I really was hoping that they wouldn't go that way in Avatar. But I guess I was wrong. =(
-ZUKO'S MOM IS WHERE EXACTLY?? I hate it that, at the very end, they have Zuko asking Ozai where his mother is, and then going right to the ending without mentioning what Ozai said. HOW COULD THEY DO THIS TO US?? They damn better make a sequel resolving this issue. Because his mother is important to him, and how could they just glaze over that??
Overall, a VERY AWESOME FINALE. I liked it, and I don't have much to complain about.
