something is creeping through my veins

I spent the morning in the public library, waiting to meet a guy so I could give him money and he could give me the gift certificate I won at his fundraiser to benefit the Gulf aid. He ended up being a half hour late because he overslept and forget he was meeting me. I wish I overslept because I got up at 9:30 so I could make our 10:30 appointment. And 9:30 AM is about two hours earlier than I usually get up during the summer. I've really become a lazy beach bum.
I'm actually glad that it was just a case of him oversleeping because I was really worried that I had somehow messed up and gotten something wrong and he was probably waiting for me somewhere entirely else so when he did call and explained why he was running late, I was very relieved and went back to reading the two books I wanted to check out while I waited for him. (Both books, in case you were wondering, were by Mitali Perkins, Monsoon Summer and The Secret Keeper. Monsoon Summer I had already read but wanted to re-read.)

sailormoon: The Big Sprawling Crossover List links to fan art where Sailor Moon is crossed over with EVERYTHING. I do mean everything.

Date: 2010-07-29 03:39 am (UTC)I've revived it and made it into a multi-platform pop cultural site with music and multi-media rotation and with the writing component well in place with a lot of new programs planned, ^_^ I am looking for music mods and there has been a surge in new membership there, so it will have a fresh life and compliment the website! I hope you got the email I sent out, first time I did that. ^_^
I've got to figure out how to cross-post to my dream width account, I've never done that before.
Take care girl, and *squishes ya* <333333

Date: 2010-07-29 06:33 am (UTC)Oh, cross-posting from your dreamwidth account should be easy. On the update page (the page where you write up a post), on the bottom, outside the text box, there should be a 'Crosspost this entry' check box where the music, mood, tag, etc field boxes are.
On your 'My Account Settings' page there is this that should be there: http://www.dreamwidth.org/manage/settings/?cat=othersites that configures your accounts for crossposting where you enter the server name (like LiveJournal, for example, is one but if you had others, maybe you could try them too), and other settings like if you want to disable comments made on cross-posts and what the footer should be like (the footer is the part that says 'This entry was originally posted at http://www.dreamwidth.org/12345.html' or however you want to write it). I hope this helps you somewhat - I think it's a very cool feature.

Date: 2010-08-01 02:22 am (UTC)Huh? What? The betrayal challenge? What's that?Neva mind, went snooping through teh forums and found out what you were talking about. Huh. You go away from some place long enough and something exciting like this happens. (I haven't been to AI in like 45 days...I know because I got an email from AI warning me that I haven't logged in for 45 days and my account would go into inactive status if I didn't log in again soon. Which is pretty cool and useful for people like me and I had no idea AI sent out emails like those.) *puts on thinking cap for teh 'stars' challenge*'Counting the Seconds' would be the title right?
<3<3<3 Will upload it now.
edit: It's in the queue now for you, Loki.
I'm also loving those music files you sent me. The Bonnie Pink & Craig David duo song is awesome because it sounds like it's dance/techno, the genre I'm fascinated by. The Richard Burmer song is awesome too - it sounds so mystical and like it might've come right out from the Age of Exploration or the Age of Sail. (It does have an ironic song title - Magellan - and considering there was an explorer named Magellan and this was what the song made me think of upon first hearing it, I think it fits. :D)

Date: 2010-08-01 05:24 am (UTC)Thanks Lady J! I'm glad you like the music, and also, I think you'll love the album by Bonnie Pink, probably a mini-album, called 'Re-Pinked, each track has been uniquely remixed and is musically cutting edge and an experimental form of what I'm calling jazz-techno and alternative - it has amazing ambience and sounds great as well, :D I will likely upload it all this week. I uploaded a few other things in the circlet as well, you might have some of those, but there will be more soon! < 33333
