dahlia_moonDay 01 - A show that should have never been canceled
Oh, geez. There are so many answers to this - 10 Things I Hate About You, Roommates, Stargate Atlantis, Dark Angel, The Middleman, Pushing Daisies, Young Blades, Hawaii (I think, maybe, it's been so long since I watched it), Roswell. But I think I'd have to go with Kyle XY because, while all of these others didn't deserve to be canceled, Kyle XY was totally nose-diving into the worst show of the century - at least for me - by that point that the cancellation just made it even worse! (Well, the finale made it worse because they were still so many unanswered questions and it ended at a really bad place.) And I'm still soooo bitter about it! All of the other shows that got canceled, I could deal with it (even if some of the finales of certain shows were problematic) because the rest of the episodes before the finales were AWESOME so at least we fans could have that, but with Kyle XY, it was a different bag of beans altogether. Otoh, I'm glad it got canceled because it was dying a slow, painful death and I'm sure if it continued, it would've just gotten worse and worse.

Stargate Atlantis, and I know we have the film, Arc of Truth although it kind of is more SG1 which is som much awesomenessbut..., I hope the movies keep coming, and there are some in the works: SGA film, SGU and I beleive SG1 also... *focuses on ZPM pulse signal to multiverse muses*
Other shows... VR5 a virtual reality show that was just getting so cool when they cut it, Dark Angel, Firefly, (not seen it, but would love to), The Nowhere Man, (Chris Carter), a unique show, although the plot was partially resolved, I felt they could have done more with that show, it was made during the X-Files, and probably why it lapsed. *sad*
I am sure there are others, in Anime, Sailor Moon, although it may be under another classification, but also there are others like that on T-V.

I think animes are much better at not getting canceled, although besides a few beloved anime series, I don't know too many so can't really say either way.

Date: 2010-07-10 08:38 am (UTC)I'm glad Anime has a lot more staying power, although I am not sure if and when the Maple Story Anime is going to be English dubbed and if spin-offs of the on-line game such as the Cygnus Knights, and the Dragon themes will end up as their own series, *hopes so* Take care Lady J! *squishes ya*
