So, her heart started pumping real fast, and she started hyperventilating whenever she thought of him. But that didn't mean she liked him! She hated the guy's guts, for Pete's sake! At least that's how it appeared to the outside world. But in reality (or Akane's heart), she really loved the guy. She really loved him because she was a girl after all, even if she had the tomboy exterior.

She  had to put up the charade that she hated Ranma because that was the only way she knew of how to protect herself. Protect herself from what, she didn't exactly know. She supposed it was love. She was scared of the emotion. She was scared of loving that one person romantically. She wasn't afraid of loving anybody like her family. After all, she loved Nabiki, Kasumi, and her father with all her heart. But that was different. They were her family and they would always be her family, weather they liked it or not. Ranma, on the other hand, was a free spirit. He wasn't her family and if he didn't like her, he could easily go away. And she didn't think she could handle that.

She was a tough person physically, but she wasn't strong emotionally.

And Ranma was unpredictable to her. She was afraid once she let her true feelings be known, he would flee faster than a rocket because that's how she viewed guys and love, together. To her, both those things didn't mix well together.

She would rather love him from afar, then risk it by letting her emotions get the better of her. At least that was her plan from the beginning, but lately, that plan was starting to backfire on her.

From the beginning she was content of just being around Ranma. But now, her feelings were about to explode from being bottled up. She was tired of being in love with him secretly, although she was getting suspicious that her family knew she was just pretending to hate Ranma. But she supposed that was because she was starting to be oblivious.

She didn't know what to do. It was as though she was caught in a whirlwind of emotions and she couldn't escape.

She needed advice and fast. So, she went to her older sister, Kasumi. She would've gone to Nabiki, but Nabiki wouldn't provide any help in her matter. She would be too busy jumping up and down and squealing, "I knew it! I knew it!". Kasumi was much more sensible and sensitive about people's feelings.

But Kasumi's advice ended up being... a bit vague. "Just show him how you feel and everything else will be taken care of." That's all she said.

So Akane had to figure out how to show him her feelings and pray to the gods that 'everything else will be taken care of', whatever the heck that meant.

So, she drove herself mad thinking about what to do. So, one day, while they were walking to school, she suddenly stopped and decided on the spur of the moment to show him just how she felt.

She grabbed him by the shirt and kissed him senseless. She supposed she was going crazy; Ranma was standing there eyes getting wide as saucers and getting kissed by a crazy, karate kicking tomboy girl!

Pulling away because of their obvious need of oxygen, Akane was so shocked at her boldness she just continued on her way to school in a daze. Ranma, meanwhile, after getting back some oxygen into his ravished lungs, fainted.

Each had no idea what had happened in those last minutes. And each had no idea where the heck they would go from here. But they decided that they would cross that bridge when they came to it. Of course they were going to be afraid to cross that bridge when they came to it... But of course no one said love was easy...

Notes: Y'know for some reason doing Akane's POV was a lot easier than writing Ranma's POV. I guess that's why this ended up being a bit longer than the first story. Paragraph-wise anyways. Again, as always, comments are begged for.
