Everyone should post their ten most CRUCIAL CRUCIAL CRUCIAL-ASS movies, like the movies that explain everything about yourselves in your current incarnations (not necessarily your ten favorite movies but the ten movies that you, as a person existing currently, feel would help people get to know you) (they can change later on obviously).
- The Princess Bride
- Ever After
- The Hunchback of Notre Dame
- Beauty and the Beast
- Star Wars
- Harry Potter movies
- Fight Club
- Mrs. Doubtfire
- Jumanji
- Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

Date: 2014-05-29 04:04 am (UTC)Star Wars and Harry Potter are the epic multi-parters that I've liked for so long and have grown up with that leaving them out would be blasphemous.
The Princess Bride & Ever After are the part of me who likes romance movies; The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Beauty and the Beast are for when I'm Disney-obsessed.
Mrs. Doubtfire & Jumanji are not my favorites, but they're the earliest movies I've watched of Robin Williams' and contain some of my favorite tropes.
I tend to like disparate media a lot though--all I really need is to like the story or what its message or themes are.
(I've left out a LOT of movies though--Forest Gump and Cast Away, 10 Things I Hate About You, The Notebook, Lord of the Rings, and I go through times when I'm obsessed with period dramas like Pride & Prejudice, North & South, and Persuasion. Mostly, it can be summed up that I love different styles of story-telling and genres.)
