Day Nine: Top Five People You’d Like To Kill

(I'm going to choose to interpret this as five famous people I'd like to kill, and even qualifying it like that, I'm still uncomfortable with this list. I'm usually not one to seriously contemplate killing anyone, even in hypothetical situations, so take this as like a "if these people didn't exist, maybe the world would be better for it, but probably not" list.)

• When or if I started shipping it
due South was a bit before I could watch tv and retain anything, so I started shipping it way before I watched the source material. due South felt like one of those classic fandoms like the original Star Trek, and so I watched a few random later episodes and fell in love.

• My thoughts
I love both characters as individuals; Fraser is intriguing because of his culture and how he was brought up and how that plays with how RayK was brought up and shipping them romantically is just delicious because of their chemistry.

• What makes me happy about them
that they set off into the sunset with each other, even though it felt like their story didn't end there. I also love that the fandom doesn't seem to be slowing down.

• What makes me sad about them
that the show ended, basically; I could've had a bit more episodes with Fraser & Ray.

• Things done in art/fic that annoys me
I don't think there is any? I seem to find only the good fic in this fandom.

• Things I look for in art/fic
I think I always look for in-character characterizations regardless of pairing/show; specifically for due South though, I look for fics that make me feel warm & fuzzy, and that feature Dief as well because I love that crazy wolf dog more than I can say.

• Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other
I guess I'd be okay with Frannie/Fraser because Frannie was cute with her crush on him. Or even Fraser/Thatcher because I have insane amounts of love for Thatcher. I liked Stella as a character, but I ship her more with RayV and I don't think it'd necessarily be good for her and RayK to get back together. RayK/Turnbull for the cracky ship, I guess? I love Turnbull too.

• My happily ever after for them
RayK and Benton live happily ever after together somewhere in Canada doing...IDK, Canadian things? I have no idea what that'd entail exactly, living on deer and sledding in the winter?--with the occasional visits to Chicago.
