Gonna need a spark to ignite

I'm a sporadic writer, even at the best of times, but this writing thing is so frustrating. If it's not being able to write any words whatsoever, it's not being able to finish anything.

What brought all this to the forefront was looking at my trope_bingo card. I'm not a planner of any kind at all so, in the past, it's just been: choose a prompt at random and hope for the best? This time around, it's pretty much the same except for the choosing a prompt at random, now it's choose a prompt from the very first square and hope for the best?

Also: an exciting new meme will be coming to these parts, top 5s, courtesy of omens! (Meanwhile, I should actually finish one or two of those memes I have laying around uncompleted here. the tv meme and the 100 comic book moments are coming to mind. I haven't forgotten them exactly...it's just, shiiiiny new meme!)

Day One: Top Five Favorite Excuses
(I'm thinking these are fave excuses to use when you want to get out of doing something you don't want to do, so that's how I've chosen to interpret it. I was one of those annoying kids who had perfect attendance in school and I was never late for any class so tardy excuses were not something I mastered.)

1. It was too hot.
2. I was too tired/had to take a nap.
3. I couldn't put my book down!
4. I couldn't put my show/movie down!
5. I had to wash my hair.

And they work! Clearly why I use them because I am a lazybones and will get out of anything you ask me to do, true story.
