my desire burning inside of me
May. 3rd, 2008 05:29 pmGuess who's turning seventeen tomorrow? O_0
I don't know if I'll do anything special or just relax tomorrow. We'll see.

My twin brother treated me today and brought me the May 2008 issue of Shojo Beat. He gave me a ride to the Casablanca Comics store here in Portland because today is Free Comic Book Day (!!!). He snooped around the manga section, and asked "Don't you read those?" But I couldn't decide what manga to buy, so I chose the magazine. (It's my first manga magazine, so cool!!)
I got X-Men, Ultimate Marvel, Iron Man & Hulk, and The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man comics, and a new comic book written by a guy from the My Chemical Romance band (Gerard Way) called Umbrella Academy, and the saleslady said that it was kind of like X-Men (was about teenagers with superpowers), but darker- don't know if it's such a good thing, but I can at least try it. Also got a free May-June Iron Man - Skaar: Son of Hulk calendar, and a comics newspaper sort of thing.
**
All juniors in Maine had the SATs today. I think I rocked mine (well the English portions at least). The only thing that tripped me up were the math sections. (Mathematics have never been one of my strengths- heck I can't even do mental math without tripping up.) I was a nervous wreck Friday night though. But I felt pretty confident this morning. It went by pretty fast, although we didn't finish until like one.
Now, we wait.
