OK, first order of business: pimping [livejournal.com profile] fantasyverse! I know what you're thinking: another land comm? Really? Really? All I can say is, it's tough to argue over yourself in the middle of the night when you encounter random land comms from nowhere. But I so totally can handle it! It's just starting now so it's slow going and not hardcore so not troublesome at all. I have no idea what I'll do once school starts back up in September though. I'll probably be as screwed as an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

But, yes, go join because they allow all sorts of fantasy shows and I love fantasy shows. And tell them I sent you from Team Wizards, if I do end up making you join. (And you should also join Team Wizards because wizards are cool.) :D

Second order of business: have been watching a lot of tv lately.

Glee!: I've only seen the last four episodes but they are AWESOME. I do love the show and the songs! Of which most I can recognize! Which almost never happens to me - recognizing the music in tv shows or movies that is. Although it's weird that these actors/characters are in high school and I just finished high school a year and a half ago. That makes me feel sooo old, you guys! Usually, it's the other way around. (Maybe because I love watching reruns of shows from 40+ years ago? Probably.) Another worry I have is how I'm gonna keep up with the show next season. I probably won't but at least I now know what all the hype is. :D

Drop Dead Diva: DDD, if you haven't heard of it, is about this shallow, beautiful girl Deb who dies in a car crash (because she was applying her makeup in the car and didn't see the truck) and gets to Heaven - well, not *really* Heaven but sort of this staircase leading up to it, I'd guess? Well, while in Heaven, the desk jockey, Fred, can't figure out whether she belongs in Heaven or Hell because she hasn't done one good deed her whole life, but she hasn't done anything bad either so she doesn't deserve to go to Hell OR Heaven, so Fred's like, 'that's so weird, that's NEVER happened before, what should I do?' But the decision is taken out of Fred's hands because Deb, deciding she absolutely, positively CAN'T be dead, decides to return herself back down to Earth by pushing this 'return' button on Fred's computer. But something goes wonky, and her soul gets returned but to a different body! So now Deb's inhabiting Jane Bingum's body - who's a super intelligent, IQ-of-a-genius lawyer with a porsche, but she's plus-size and very different from Deb. So the show's basically all about Deb trying to adjust to life as "Jane."

It's very original and charming. It does air on the Lifetime channel, and I dismissed it because of that too, but it shouldn't be dismissed and it's really a very awesome show with loveable characters and plus, it's lawyer-y. It's like the Ally McBeal of the 2010 era. And it has awesome guest stars every week. Like Gregory Harrison (he played the dad in those Au Pair movies), PAULA ABDUL, Ricki Lake, Rosie O'Donnell, Jorja Fox (from CSI:LV), Teri Polo, Steve Valentine, Delta Burke, Liza Minnelli, Nia Vardalos (from My Big Fat Greek Wedding), Vivica A. Fox, and Gina Torres & Sean Maher (from Firefly fame). And it has SINGING and DANCING. Just like GLEEEE!

Pretty Little Liars: I'm still pissed at ABCFamily for canceling 10 Things I Hate About You and I really should boycott the channel because this is not the first time they've majorly disappointed me. (And I do wanna insert my hate here for tv show they keep bringing back which I don't think deserves to be on the air - The Secret Life of the American Teenager, although I really wanted to like it because, hello, it has Molly Ringwald but not even her character can make me sit through an entire episode. It was created and being written by the same person who worked on 7th Heaven. I just hope it doesn't go on and on for ten long years/seasons like 7th Heaven did.)

I'm not too sure what this show is about or if I'll really like it as I've seen only one episode (and there's only two that have already aired). I did get that it's about a group of high school girls with secrets and a dead friend coming back to hunt them. I mean pretty much the mystery is what keeps me interested at this point but that's about it. And, oh, it has Holly Marie Combs in it as well so you know I'd be all over that.

Hot in Cleveland: Ahhh, it's a TVLand show but with BETTY WHITE, WENDIE MALICK, JANE LEEVES, and VALERIE BERTINELLI. I haven't seen Valerie Bertinelli in anything except those weight-loss commercials but I loved Betty White in The Golden Girls and Wendie Malick in Just Shoot Me and Jane Leeves in Frasier. So far am not totally impressed with the show - seems a bit bland but will watch it some more before I totally rule it out.

SG-1: What to say about this? It's AWESOME, no doubt about it, although I'm not that far ahead so will probably have more interesting things to say about it later.

I also missed seeing Moonlight on the CW so will hold off on watching that for the time being. (Or until I can find it streaming online somewhere. I know the CW site has streaming episodes but the stupid player never works for me - keeps saying it's getting an updated version of the video player plugin to load but it NEVER does, so am fed up with trying to get it to work.)

And totally randomly:

Get ready to 'awwwwwwwwwww' your heart out- Rescuing Hug. A struggling newborn was helped by the healing hug of her twin.. This is why I love itty, bitty babies. (Although, really, the only thing my twin brother did when we were in the womb together was to kick me. But I still luvs him muchly. And he's a boy, so he probably thought he was hugging me. And I do try to get a lot of hugs out of him now.♥)

I'm also being a major summer bum and literally doing nothing but sitting on my bum. And turning into a mushy ball of mushiness (by which I mean I'm probably turning into jello at the moment and not that other mushy stuff). Why can't I ever be happy? For nine months out of the year, I'm busy with school and hate it. Then, for the other three months when I'm not busy with anything, I hate it too. There's just no pleasing you, is there, self?
