Nothing too exciting happening here. PSAT's are coming on Oct.18. Gotta study for that and I have two labs I have to do for Bio. All of my other classes are pretty easy. Just homework that doesn't take too long to do, thank godness.

Before I forget to ask, does anyone know where to download bittorrent software? I browsed around download.com, but for some reason my server wouldn't let me download it. It sent me to a 'third party download site'. But then that still didn't work. I was just wondering if there was anywhere else to download it. If not, I guess I'll just have to keep trying.

It's amazing how far technology has come over the years, and yet it still doesn't always work; I guess nothing really can be perfect.

I somehow ended up watching the new episode of Doctor Who last night (Christmas Invasion eppy), that British sci-fi show, and I ended up liking it. Throughout the show, I kept asking myself, "Why haven't I watched this show before now?" I love Mickey and Rose and the Doctor. And basically the whole show is just super fantastic. It's comedy and sci-fi, what I love watching the most.  And then the New Earth episode came on. But I did miss like the last ten minutes of that one. I fell asleep. (I knew I shouldn't have skipped my afternoon nap.) I'm definitely excited for next week's episode. It looks promising. I have a big thing for werewolf stories. I'm cazy about  them.

I was thinking of (briefly) getting into Battlestar Galatica, but then I realized that it was probably stuffed with drama. You can blame my thinking of that on the promo. I'm sure it's a great show, but the tv commercial for it totally turned me off it.

It's not that I don't like watching anything with drama. After all, I do watch Grey's Anatomy.  But somehow with Grey's Anatomy, I don't really focus on the drama, and there're some non dramatic moments too. And really how many sci-fi shows can I watch without my brain exploding?

Speaking of Grey's Anatomy, I watched the season premiere on Thursday (after Ugly Betty) and I gotta say I love what Meredith did. At the end, I really thought she was going to choose Derek. (Not that I thought she was leaning more toward Derek, but that she liked Derek more than she did Finn, and plus they had a history together.) But then she went and suggested that she date them both. Isn't she brilliant? I really love Finn and Meredith together, but I also love Derek and Meredith together and throughout the whole episode I was bracing myself for when she picked Derek, but then she didn't and I was like, yeah now she can love both of them! XD

Now Addison, on the other hand, is, to me, one of those characters whom I don't dislike, but one whom I don't really care for either. But I really felt for her in this episode. I realized that she does deserve happiness, even though she did cheat on Derek, which is one of the reasons why I don't really care for her.

And speaking of being sympathetic to characters, Izzie. Oh my godness, Izzie! I have loved her from the start and then I loved her even more when she was with Denny. I mean they were such a great couple with such awesome chemistry toward each other. And then Denny died and I felt crushed. And then I saw her being like a zombie, baking thousands of muffins in this episode, totally heartbroken and torn, and I cried for her. I mean to have someone propose to you and then die, no one should have to go through that.

George. Oh how cute George was being jealous when Callie claimed the infamous black panties on the bulletin board as hers. I have a newfound love for George. And Bailey. Bailey was awesome here as well. I always thought of her as a tough, mean, "nazi". But this episode showed a softer side of her  as well. We all know that she's tough because she cares.

Finally, I have to talk about Ugly Betty for a bit. I'm not familiar with the Spanish telenovela, although I suppose I should look into viewing that. It might be fun to compare the two. And it might improve my Spanish.

This was the pilot episode and I already love most of the characters. I love Christina's accent. Vanessa Williams' character I'm not too crazy about. But overall, I think the show is promising. I actually tuned in to watch it because of all the promos and I love the actress America Ferrera.

I don't have anything else to say about it. But we shall see how it goes.

(I thought I was overdue for a long rant.)
