DAY 4- [Fic] Untitled, Part 1 (Naruto, Hinata/Sasuke, Naruto/Sakura)

Happy 4th of July. And also please excuse all the canon inaccuracies- among other things- that will definitely be abound in this fic. I'm only following the anime...and am only up to about episode 100 (not even really >:). Plus, I just wanted to write Hinata/Sasuke-->they're such an interesting couple.

Naruto stuck out his bottom lip and glanced at his two teammates sitting beside him. They unfortunately didn't even bat an eyelash at the gloomy aura emanating from the orange-clad teenager. It was just so unfair how Sakura liked Sasuke more than him!

He leaned against the tree trunk and looked up at the white, puffy clouds rolling lazily in the bright, blue sky. If only there was someway to make Sasuke undesirable to Sauka then at least he could have a chance at asking Sakura out on a date. Hypothetically. But he wouldn't know unless he didn't try and Sasuke was just standing there in his way, strolling along all nonchalantly and showing off as being an all-powerful shinobi.

Yeah, well he'd show that stupid, look-at-me-I'm-stronger-than-you-and you're-just-an-idiot-so-don't-even-talk-to-me, moronic Sharigan user. But he just had to come up with a plan that was all. He just needed some time to think on it and to come up with a perfect plan on how to make his rival seem less hot and to win the adoration of his crush. That was all. Oh, and he also needed to come up with that perfect plan. But no worries, Naruto was confident that he'd come up with some ideas after he thought on it some.

Yes, all was going to be all right with the world once he and Sakura were a lovey-dovey couple.

A few days later Naruto was walking along the streets of Konoha on his way to meet his team for training, no closer to coming up with any plan than he was those few days ago. To say that it was frustrating would have been an understatement. Sure, Naruto had some ideas that came and went through his mind like the noodles that disappeared from his ramen when he got a hold of a cup. But most of them were stupid after some thought and most didn't involve Sasuke maiming him within a second of his life.

He'd like to hold onto his life a bit more, thank you very much.

Naruto hung his head lower and looked at his feet moving. He was running out of ideas and this whole plan of ruining Sasuke was taking too much long. His head was in the thunderous clouds when something collided with his chest. His head snapped up and he looked up to find Hinata looking embarrassed and bags of groceries strewn upon the pavement.

"Oh, Hinata-chan. I'm sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going." He apologized and gave the quiet girl standing before him a polite smile.

"Oh, N-Naruto-kun. T-that's a-a-all right. I-I was the one who w-w-wasn't looking." The purple-haired girl spoke softly and wrung her hands nervously.

Naruto bent down on one knee and started scooping up the items back into the brown bags. He paused before picking up a bag of oranges, an idea suddenly striking him.

He grinned up at the girl who was focusing her eyes on her hands and returned the bags into her arms once again. He started walking again and waved to the flabbergasted her, smiling brightly once again.

He had found his perfect plan...all he needed now was to find a way to implement it.

But that part was going to be easy. He just needed to get Sasuke and Hinata together. And how hard could that be?

Well...if Naruto thought about it, it was going to be challenging. Sasuke and Hinata weren't the best of friends. Did they even know each other? Naruto wondered. Plus, there was that problem of their slightly different personalities.

How was he going to get them together? It was definitely a dilemna. But, Naruto was a ninja and he had to rise above all problems.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Naruto, for all his ninja training, thought it was best that his plan of getting Sasuke and Hinata together should be covert. After all, he didn't think Sasuke would be too receptive of his plan to get him together with a girl.
But no matter. Naruto would hide his plan as if his life depended on it, which in a way it did.
He sat down at his kitchen table and proceeded to slurp up the heated ramen. Tomorrow, team 7 got a day off since it was Sunday and Kakashi-sensei was feeling generous and gave them a day off. Tomorrow, he'd set his operation into motion and get Sasuke and Hinata together.
After five minutes, the noodle and the soup in Naruto's cup disappeared and warmed his belly. He got up lazily and went over to his couch to play some video games before going to sleep.
A/N: It's incomplete and I know short, but I might combine it with the other parts once I finish them.
