oh this looks like an interesting meme...
1. Comment to this post with the name of a character that I have written in fic.
2. I will comment telling you the following:
a. What initially prompted me to like the character enough to write about him/her.
b. One of his/her best traits
c. One of his/her worst traits
d. How easy/difficult I find it to write the character
e. The story/chapter/paragraph/phrase where I feel that I truly captured the character
f. My plans (if any) to write the character in the near future

I love Steph, but am not sure I can wholly explain why. I mean, she's delightfully spunky and sassy and I relate to her a whole lot more than I do to any other Bat characters. It's one of the reasons why I don't find Batman an appealing character. Don't get me wrong, I like him as far as the good guys go, but he's too grim and dark and...unyielding for me. Steph is of course his total opposite. I seem to like Batman only when his books predominately feature side characters (like Jim Gordon whom I love unholy amounts).
b. One of his/her best traits
Her sunny disposition, the fact that she can make fun of herself, and not take herself/the crime-fighting business too seriously; the fact that she never gives up even when life gives her shit, I can't choose.
c. One of his/her worst traits
This is more a case of how one sees her determination. Her stubbornness is something to be admired, sure, but I think it also gets her into a lot of trouble. I suppose it's a less than endearing trait, depending on how one looks at it.
d. How easy/difficult I find it to write the character
I FIND IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO WRITE STEPH. Mostly because she's snarky and sassy and utterly delightful. I mean, that's why I love the character so freakin' much but it also paralyzes me when I'm trying to write her that way, y'know.
e. The story/chapter/paragraph/phrase where I feel that I truly captured the character
Well, there was that just one little ficlet I wrote that was kinda about Stephanie, but didn't really feature her at all. Having said that, I do think this paragraph encapsulates what she is in such a short space: Alfred's head tilted a bit to one side, as though he was thinking of the best way to phrase this. "Miss Stephanie thought it fun to decorate the manor for trick-or-treaters...and I agreed."
f. My plans (if any) to write the character in the near future
I'd like to. Man, would I love to, but the muse, she is ever fickle.
