The Photogenic Ones
Over the yellowed corners of a sheet of paper,
one can see them walk, disappear when the page is turned.
They inhabit an island in the tropics of war,
an island where all the glasses are broken,
an island on horseback.
They enter the suburbs of the afternoon
and transient hotels.
They navigate on a bed with white sails,
as he sings and she's just another sound,
a wave beneath the bed.
Better to be silent and let them sleep,
and let them live
and let them die.
At the bottom of the photo, a few lines
attest to the fact:
