Five Things You Probably Don't Know About Me

I feel like sharing, so this is a list of five surprising (or maybe not-so surprising) things you might not know about me.

1. I don't know how to do mental math. It's actually pretty embarrassing because I have to use my fingers or a calculator. And that's just time consuming.

2.
I had a collage of mine hang in the public museum of art for a week when they were doing their exhibition on American History in the eighth grade. Well, every other eight grader had theirs hang in the museum as well, but I feel proud. ^_^

3.
So far I have only met two authors: Peggy Moss (author of Say Something) and Mitali Perkins (author of Monsoon Summer and The Not-So Star-Spangled Life of Sunita Sen). They aren't too famous, but they are two of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of meeting.

4
. I'm surprisingly anglophilic and a Japan lover as well. I might not show it though, since I am very shy.

5.
I actually hated the first Harry Potter book. (Well, maybe 'hated' is a bit strong, more like 'disliked'.) It's actually a funny story. You see, one summer day in 2001, (or it might have been 2002, I don't really remember) I twisted my ankle running around, so I had nothing to do and stole my brother's book to read while my ankle healed and I stayed sedentary. I remember finishing it pretty quickly and thinking that it wasn't all that. Now, imagine my surprise when I read the second book and learn of J.K. Rowling's fame a couple years later. I think what it is is that as Harry grew, the books got more interesting. Well, for me at least.

This is actually a meme, so if anyone wants to share as well, consider yourself tagged. :D
